Questions About My Blog

When I was writing one of the posts for my blog tour, I started being about my blog and I thought “That would be an awesome first post for my blog!” So I wrote another post for that splendid person and here we are! 

I’m just going to take some time to answer questions like “How did you start blogging?” and “Why do you not stick to a specific topic?” 

1. How did I Start Blogging?

Around four years ago I found a blog and from that blog I found another and so on. I thought it would be super cool to start a blog but I was very sure my parents would never let me so I just forgot about the idea. 

Well, about a year later my friend Alicia started a blog for her photography. I told my mom about it and she said I should make a blog. I was elated at the idea, but the problem was Alicia had already started a photography blog and I couldn’t steal her idea so I created a cooking blog called Tasha’s Country Kitchen. 

I look back at that blog with embarrassment but I also recognize the fact that without that little blog, I probably wouldn’t be starting this blog today. 

2. Why WordPress?

When I started my baking blog, I was actually using blogspot but I only got like five subscribers (All friends and family) and while I thought I was on top of the world with those five readers, I wanted to have more people read my blog. (Plus I wanted a site my parents and grandparents weren’t reading) And so I switched to WIX. 

It was fun, I actually got to design a blog, and I got more followers, but I saw that most people I followed used WordPress so I switched again. 

And I loved it. It was simple (I still had to have a friend design it *fp*) and it got lots of traffic. 

Honestly, I don’t think I could switch from wordpress anymore cuz I’m used to it and really like how it works. 

3. Why Don’t You Stick to One Topic?

Trust me, I tried. But every time I found that I ran out of ideas and I just wanted to post about other stuff. And so I decided I wasn’t going to tie myself down with one topic. 

4. Why Did You Decide to Start Blogging Again?

There are a couple reasons. First, I really missed it! Y’all blogging is the most fun ever. Yes, it takes a lot of word but you make so many friends and it’s a good skill to have. 

Second, as a writer, I’ve come to realize that I need a growing platform. It’s not the only thing publishers look at, but it definitely helps! 

5. Blogging Goals for the Next Year?

For follower goals, I’d love to reach 150 followers by this time next year! Content goals, I want to post once every week (With maybe like two grace weeks cuz life is unpredictable). And my biggest goal is I want to get to know Y’all! There are some of ya I connected with pretty well but I’d like to get better at chatting with you guys and visiting all your blogs!
